Tanya is a Nashville based Singer-Songwriter, Musician and Worship Leader. She was born and raised in Texas as a Pastor's daughter and grew up as a Worship Leader in a Mexican-American Immigrant church. Her love of music and belief in the Gospel was greatly influenced by the beautiful heartbeat of this Immigrant community who served the least and the last with humility, generosity and selfless love.
Over the last three independent albums she has received national airplay and traveled the country extensively with her music which has also been licensed around the world. But her roots are at home with her husband and two beautiful children. When she's not traveling you will find her at Experience Community Church, outside of Nashville, where she is a member and also serves as one of the Worship Leaders.
In 2018 a brand new Podcast: "Emerge," for Women will be launched with Tanya as a regular co-host. She will also head back to the studio this year to create her fourth project.
This continued outpouring comes on the heels of her third independent, full length album, Love Lines The Last Horizon, released in late 2016 to critical acclaim. Read more about LLTLH below:
The story and message of Love Lines The Last Horizon were marked by the unanticipated events that occurred in the early morning hours of June 30th, 2015, on the first day of recording. You can read the story in Tanya's own very personal words here.
Yet even in the midst of a challenging season, song stories of hope, redemption and even celebration were birthed. As Tanya states: "This recording captures both the light and the dark places in the process of learning how to take a seat at the celebration of life. There is a beautiful chorus of hope being sung over us because of the Gospel and we're invited to join in and sing redemption's song.
Produced by Ben Shive (Ellie Holcomb, JJ Heller, Andrew Peterson), Love Lines The Last Horizon is as colorful and true as collaborations come. From sweeping cinematic moments to lyrics that combine both truth and the vulnerable human experience, the scale of the album is as wide as the emotional delivery of each song.
Tanya is an Artist offering the world a glimmer of hope through songs mined from the depths of her own history with God, people and the world.

What Others Are Saying
"Tanya is a gifted musician, but she's more than that, she's a minister. Flourishing in both authentic creativity and the power that comes with obedience to the Spirit's prompting, I've observed walls being broken down and the beginning of healing in people's lives as she leads them."
"Tanya is a tremendous worship leader who creates sacred space with creative empathy for others to engage God. She's the real deal, which invites you to follow her."
-Chad Negley Contemporary Worship Director - Christ Church of Oak Brook, IL
"Tanya gracefully carries with her honesty, humility, and vulnerability as well as super smart songs that encourage as greatly as they challenge. She has an important voice in the church and the songwriting community and we are better for our time with her."
-Martha Christian Worship Pastor - Broadway United Methodist Church - Bowling Green, Kentucky
“We were blessed by the stories, the music and the heart of Tanya Godsey. My only disappointement was that we didn’t have her come sooner! Our church was very blessed by Tanya’s ministry and we hope it works out for her to come again.”
— Tim McCarty - Worship Pastor - Edgewood Baptist Church Edmonds, WA
“Tanya’s visit to our church was such a gift. Not only is she a talented songwriter and musician but she is also a wonderful storyteller and we enjoyed her stories and words of encouragement as much as her music. We have a large creative community at our church and I loved the way Tanya brought the audience into the artistic process behind the songs. Our musicians and artists were especially blessed by that behind the scenes view of her music. It was an amazing night and I continue to hear stories about how Tanya’s music is touching people in our church body. We would have her back in a heartbeat!”
— Jessi McNeal - Arts Community Leader - Mill Creek Foursquare Church Mill Creek, WA
“Tanya is a storyteller with a voice that moves your soul as well as your mind. Her music embodies an honest expression of life and faith, while her voice captivates your ear with a rich melody and sound.”
— Jim Mann - North Hills Community Church - Rancho Cucamonga, CA
“Tanya writes and sings with a wisdom beyond her years; she digs deeply and shares through her beautiful songs the treasures mined from places where we all live and struggle. She is that rare kind of artists who possesses both extraordinary talent and a genuine unassuming nature. I consider her a true friend and a kindred spirit and can’t wait for you to hear her music!”
